I emailed him to ask about this and he said that he has spent some time in Texas, but that the lineup that night was just a coincedence.
Here's the other email he sent me...
have spun the track a couple of times... will spin it this weekend and plug the gig... two good locals are on the bill. U-Phonik and Parallel.... see you at the show Divakar Host of "New Music & Indie Label Show" Sunday Night from 7 pm to 8:30 pm Host of "90 Minutes" (Local Music Show) Sunday Night from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm New Rock, 1065, The End WEND Radio (Attn. I guess we should still keep on 106.5 The End. It appears to be paying off.

Only word from O-Rock was a very, very nice email from Mel today apologizing that she wasn't around for the show. She wanted to come by, but had a promotion about an hour outside of Orlando for the station. Randy (our radio promoter) is still pushing to hopefully get us into her "challenge" segment, and I'm going to ask her about it when I email back.
For everyone in Raleigh... if you can help out today. WKNC is the station. Do a quick google for it. They are thinking about having Brandin in on Thurs afternoon before the show, but aren't sure. How about giving them a reason? "Nation" activate!

I sent an e-mail to Tricia Heath - daytime music director and told her we'd be at the show in Raleigh and was hoping they could play Helicopter and maybe do an interview with the guys.

OK, just e-mailed her too. Hi Ari! When I saw you posted in the Raleigh roll call, I thought you may be surprising us with your presence.

Ha ha. I wish. I have a 9am flight to St. Paul, MN on Thurs morning and don't return back to NJ until 5pm on Sunday. Hence the reason that I'm going to miss all of your crazy NJ-goers on Saturday night (I wish I was going to be at that Saint show!!!). But, I'll come right from the airport on Sunday to the Knit show in NYC. Ticket sales are already over 100 for NYC, so make sure to get all of your tickets (friends and all) in advance to make it easier. Hopefully going to be a busy night. I have some key people coming down to see the band, so keep pushing to see how many you can get out there!!!
