Also, your track record sucks. I can only hope, for your sake, that you had no part in booking shows at the 12 person capacity Saint, bringing the boys west for a tour attended by no one, and recording LFA in what sounds like a bathroom. Keep up the good work; and, thanks for keeping us posted! LFA was recorded at the renowned Tree Sound Studios near Atlanta. Several topname artists have recorded there. If you think it sounded claustrophobic then it was probably due to the crush of fans who attended and cheered. And when shows are booked at imperfect venues (or when Flickerstick misses a city) it isn't necessarily Ari's fault. He only has so many suitable places and dates to work with. If you've got better ideas then share them with him instead of just spouting criticisms. And some shows on the western tour, at least, apparently did well; the California concerts for example.

Your concerned posts were about "where is Ari", and I know exactly where I am. Did you want me to let you know I'm here? I'm here.
I did book all of your favorite shows, and I'm sorry you didn't like them.
As for your insults, I find them enjoyable to read, and yet they couldn't be more off base. There are outside factors that you are currently unaware of and I'm not going to post them on an open forum.

Well Ari, it is nice to know that you respond promptly to insults. As for responding to concerns...not so much. Therefore, I nominate Norm for band manager!

not sure what you're talking about but i was also at the 2 Atlanta shows. and the New York show, and the Cambridge Mass. show. all were well promoted, and well attended and this happens when people know what the hell they are doing. Ari has done an amazing job with flickerstick, and i hope he continues to work with them

My only request is for more shows and I'm sure that isn't in control of Ari...that is the guys I'm sure. As for when they tour...I do wish they were in a little bit bigger venues in more footwalking places. I feel like the shows I have been to in Columbus and Cinci were in areas that aren't in the biggest footwalking places. Columbus was a packed show though but the place (stage area) was super small. If it was in a more popular area they could get more foot traffic that equals mo'money for the boys. And mo'money I'm guessing might equal mo'tours! And mo'tours equals...happy Yabo! hehe

(which ironically enough is a HUGE place to party and walk from bar to bar on the weekends... the Basement is just in the back of this area, not really close to the rest of the places) They have played at the Newport on campus a numerous amounts of times in the past, but that is a 2500-3000 capacity venue and they filled the place up in 2001.... but not so much the last few times, so it makes sense to put them in a smaller venue. And sadly enough... there really isn't a venue that has the capacity in between the two around the city at all.

So why isnt there a designated FS street team to bring people in. We all know that FS has the songs to pack huge houses...just not the promotions.
So why not have districts in cities where FS is going to play, have a street team promoting hardcore to fill big places?

I don't know if there is an official Street team in Columbus... but I have gone around and posted fliers myself.... especially on Campus when they did tour at the Newport, but the last few times just ended up short. No real explanation... though I do know the last few times were on weeknights. When I have worn my Flickerstick t-shirts, people have stopped me and asked "So you know Flickerstick?" and what not, and they packed the Basement which is a 300+ capacity, but I have no idea why they can't do better than that here. Though Columbus is one of the highest capacity cities that I have seen them in... I've been to shows with a total of 20 people in the crowd, so I think we do pretty well here, even if its only 300ish showing up.
The radio stations here have just never been friendly to the boys, I have called, emailed and never any kind of response.
I have "Flickerstick" stickered on my car right above my middle brake light on my window... I dunno what else I can do. =P

Well, I just replayed all my flickerstick CDs, and the result was quite calming. I hate being the internet asshole. Ari, it's frustrating for people (not me, in general) to check to message board, curious about the bands future, only to be told that that news isn't available. But, in truth, it's really out of your hands. So, whatever. In all though, I'm glad me being an asshole sparked so flicker-based conversation; I was in need of some.

There IS a Flickerstick Street Team, but not many "dedicated fans" want to do much work anymore. The people on the board, yes - but otherwise, no. I think some people need to realize that most people, including Ari, have lives that don't revolve around Flickerstick. Maybe even the guys "in" Flickerstick? Seriously, if you want to support the band mouthing on a message board is likely the LEAST effective way to do it. If you think you can do a better job, do it - but I doubt you'd even know where to begin. CDL

As I said, you are always more than welcome to your opinions. I would never want anyone to hold their tongue if they had something to say -- even if it wasn't complimentary to me or someone else. I've heard worse, and like most, can take an angry word or two.
However, I have been a very, very active participant on this board since well before I was manager. I've always done my best to keep you updated -- here and everywhere. But, there are often times when you can't talk about personal items. I love the guys and respect their lives outside of the band. Saying that, you may be angry to not hear from me or see an active business month (or a few), and I can only say "I'm sorry" that you feel that way. Most certainly, it's not intentional to make you or anyone upset.

Awwww... Ari, that was so heartfelt, I think I'll submit that to be nominated for the 'Message Board Awards'....
You just might win your own personal MBA, not to be confused with anything in the world that might actually help you in life.

Man that last Columbus show didn't seem like 300 ppl. It felt like maybe 75-100. I didn't mind that place except that most of the venue is not within eye sight of the stage. It is around the bar. The show was awesome but I just wish we could go back to the days of them playing at the Newport because it was much nicer and it was on the main street so I saw a ton of people outside. At the Basement I was wondering if my car was gonna get broke into it was so isolated. hehe And I was at one of those 20 ppl shows too...Cincinnati! I was so mad. I called every radio station in the city to try and promote but it was in downtown and like I've said before on here...people don't go downtown too much here in Cinci...our downtown is now known for the riots a few year back instead of hanging out. So you don't get foot traffic at all unless it is the day of a Bengals or Reds game.
And Ari it ain't your fault if the guys have given you nothing to talk about. It they are taking a break or whatever then you can only do so much. Sounds like they have other things going on and I'm sure that puts you in a pickle with us crazy fans. Just tell us to shut up if we get on your nerves. hehe Like "people" said...at least we all got talking again.

WOW!!! Somebody must pee in People's cheerios every day. I'm sure it's not Ari. Also, HATERS get nothing done & don't get what they want. If it's our " Never Forgotten, Jager Slammin, & Always Jammin, Party Peeps" that you are wanting to see or get info about. "People" shouldn't be so hateful or pissy to others. Especially, "the One" who books the shows. The Only Thing "People" should HATE is that the COOOLEST Group of VERY TALENTED Guys/ Peeps/ Dawgs/ Hommies/ JagerMonsters/ Ballrockers (Rex-aka-elDangeroso)/ Band might not be gracing "the truely loving & loyal fans" with their intense unforgetable performances, ever again. At least, some can say, they watched the Stick be Flicked & Flicked a Stick!!! WOW, Memory Lane in Hot Lanta, GA (ATL). It really SUCKS that all the Awesome, Unpredictable, Always Funny after show times may never happen again. So, "People" don't P-Off the man that makes it possible for the true FLICKERSTICK Fans "the Ones" that stood/stands by the guys in Bad Times ,as well as, Good Times!! I'm just happy that I got enjoy them from the Beginning to the End! One thing I can say is the songs by"The Flick of the Stick" always TURN MY FROWNS UPSIDEDOWN into a SMILE!!! Hopefully, this is just a bump/stick in the road & the guys will be back for another round. Hope Hard! Don't Hardly Hope! Peace 2 my Peeps!
