I am so disappointed in my town. After the first two bands (who were HORRIBLE, by the way), the crowd took off.
There were only about 20 people left to watch Flickerstick (I counted). The band was visibly disappointed and angry but managed to put on a show anyhow. A somewhat short set with no encore. After the last song the band abruptly left the stage and went out to their van in the parking lot. Brandin barely spoke to the crowd the entire time.
I hope this doesn't mean the end of Flickerstick coming to Portland, but I'm sure it does. If only the radio stations would play them!

Crowd was the same in Seattle, except only about 10-15 people stayed.

Sadly it was the same at the Albuquerque show, a lot of the people in attendance were there for the local two opening bands and most of the people left before Flickerstick went on leaving only about 20 people.
There was no encore of "Direct Line" which was on their setlist and the band pretty much packed up and left straight to their vans. There were sound problems and at one point the band couldn't play because they didn't have sound for Brandons guitar and the sound tech took forever to get it fixed.
I figured with the low attendance and sound issues it was disappointing for them. I don't blame them and because of this, it will probably be a long time before they come out again to Albuquerque. I forsee some road trips to Texas to see the guys play where there is a much bigger following. For Flickerstick, it would be worth the trip.

Phoenix was a good show and the viper sold out! I was there. Too bad about Portland and Seattle. The guys knew not to expect anyone to show up.

You would think that they would expect small attendance in cities and venues they rarely (of ever) travel to, without having put out a "new" CD in a few years, and playing on random nights (not Thurs, Fri, or Sat nights).
I remembe seeing a show of theirs in Houston where only some 20 people showed, but promotion was non-existent and it fell in a Tuesday night with no opening acts. It's bound to happen.

Yep, 20 sounds about right for the ABQ show too....whatever, I'm fed up.....with a lot these days.
