1. I loved “Bands On The Run.” Did the guys have fun on the show? When is it coming out on DVD ?
Yes, BOTR was a pretty cool show, and it was great for showing off the fantastic musical stylings of Flickerstick. But the boys in the band did not really have a great time on the show, and would like to leave it in the past. Reality television is not reality. The forum feels like VH-1 kind of screwed Flickerstick over by not doing any promotion for them and hardly playing their videos after they won the show.
There are no plans for the show to be released on DVD, and Cory has said that VH-1 will not be doing any more seasons of the show because it was too expensive to produce. BOTR will probably never be officially released on DVD, but if you have to watch it please send a private message to bobzilla and he can tell you how to get a copy of all the episodes on DVD.

2. What happened to Flickerstick’s last drummer, Dominic Weir?
Dom and Flickerstick parted ways in April of 2004. You could say he quit, you could say he was fired, but the bottom line is that no one knows what happened except for Dominic and Flickerstick. After his departure he started drumming full time for the Dallas supergroup The Mermaid Purse. In October of 2004 Dominic retired from TMP and moved from Dallas to Los Angeles. He is currently there promoting himself and TMP to the music industry.

3. Is there some kind of beef between Flickerstick and The Mermaid Purse? Between Flickerstick and Soulcracker?
Absolutely not. I assure you there is no beef, poultry or fish. Everyone in Flickerstick is on good terms with everyone in The Mermaid Purse. While it is does appear that Flickerstick and Soulcracker did not get along on BOTR, this question is irrelevant because Soulcracker has broken up and all the members have new projects. I’m sure if any member of Flickerstick met any former member of Soulcracker backstage at some dim and dirty dive that they would probably just sit down and have a drink and laugh about the show.

4. When is the next album/EP/DVD coming out? How many CDs has Flickerstick released? Where can I find their old stuff?
Flickerstick’s latest album, "Tarantula," was released October 5th, 2004. Right now Flickerstick are making thousands across the United States ecstatic by touring in support of this album through various cities. No plans for anything besides touring at the moment.
Please check out the link below for a full Flickerstick discography. “Chloroform The One You Love” is extremely rare and hard to find. The best place to look would be in used CD/record stores in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas, USA area (DFW). “Welcoming Home The Astronauts” released by 226 records is also no longer sold. The Epic version is still available for purchase, along with the album “Causing A Catastrophe – Live,” and the two disc EP/DVD “To Madagascar And Back.”
5. Who writes the journal on Flickerstick.com?
Drummer Todd Harwell updates the journal and his entries are usually unsigned. Cory used to post on the old journal using a family member’s computer, but now it is rumored that Todd is the only member of Flickerstick with a computer.

6. When are Flickerstick coming (back) to the UK?
Flickerstick ventured overseas March 2002 and February 2003 according to the concert chronology at www.flickersticklounge.com. There are no current plans for a UK tour. Rex has stated that it is very expensive to get all their gear to the UK, so they probably won’t be coming back in the near future. If you are from the UK please join the UK Street Team to further Flickerstick’s popularity and never give up hope!

7. What’s up with all the things lead vocalist Brandin Lea does on the side?
Brandin is very creative and does do several things outside of Flickerstick. His side project is called February Chorus which plays infrequently at The Aardvark in Fort Worth, TX. The music has been described as dramatic, moody, artsy. There is no website, no recorded material, and no plans for recording any tracks. Brandin also does solo shows in the DFW area where he plays songs he has written, covers and occasional Flickerstick tunes. No website, no recorded material yet, but it is rumored he might eventually end up in the studio. Brandin ALSO frequently plays with The Acoustic Mafia. This is a large group of various musicians that unplug and jam the first Sunday of every month (usually) at the Aardvark/Moon in Ft. Worth. The CD release party for the Acoustic Mafia's first disc was February 13th, 2005 at the aforementioned Aardvark. It is not available in stores as of yet, but when/if it is this info will be updated!

8. What is the band’s policy on flash photography at their shows? What about audio recordings of the shows?
While the band has never officially made any statements about these topics, fans have inferred a few things. Take as many pictures as you want during the show. (And please do share with the board in the "Show Reviews/Pictures" portion of the board.) The members of Flickerstick are rock stars for christsakes, so they are used to frequent flashes. I’m sure it sometimes gets a bit annoying, so if someone gives you a dirty look it is probably a good sign to lay off the camera for a few songs so you don’t burn out their retinas.
Fans have recorded shows, and the band seems not to have a problem with us trading bootlegs. Just make sure not to upload these recordings to any file sharing programs, since it probably wouldn’t be great if a Flickerstick virgin broke their cherry to a poor quality live recording of “Teenage Dope Fiend.”
